WLUHL11 Newspaper Bottom Feeder Edition #2

Greetings, Sports Fans! Welcome to another addition of the report
that everyone hates to love and loves to hate, The Bottom Feeder Report!
That's' right! We have brought you more dead weight to keep you from
becoming too optimistic about the world around you!

The Str rating has been changed to an average of the point totals for teams
played against during this report period. That way teams that didn't play as
many or played more games then the average had no disadvantage/advantage in
this rating category.

New awards: Sammy the Sting-Ray award. As Sammy is the King of the Bottom
Feeders, so the team with the best quality wins is the Bottom Feeder who
deserves this award. Ernie the Eel is awarded to the team with the worst
trouble in this report period. Ernie will be hard to win as everyone on the
report basically deserves this award!

Let's get to it!

Bottom Feeders:
Pos Team Name GP	W	L	T	GF GA Pts
PCT Last 10	Str
1 Indianapolis Racers	9	0	8	1	10	32	1
0.056	0.8.1	13.75
2 Moscow Soviet Wings	10	1	9	0	14	53	2
0.1	1.9.0	9.8
3 Sierra Spiders 10	1	9	0	16	37
2	0.1	1.9.0	14.4
4 Milford Barn Burners	9	1	7	1	14	26	3
0.167	1.7.1	10.8
5 Newfd Black Dogs	10	3 7	0	27	31	6
0.3	3.7.0	7.6

1 (3). Indianapolis Racers
Break-down: The Racers find themselves in first place as the Black Dogs ran
off to 5th place and the Soviet Wings found a way to "Burn the Barn". The
Racers lost to the Winter Hawks, Law Makers, Melted Ice and Meatheads. This
was the second hardest Strength of Schedule in the Report.

Last Report Prediction: Border Clan next report. The Racers really had a
tough schedule and look like they will make it up shortly.

Prediction: Bottom Feeder next report. While they have had a really tough
schedule to date, they still have to find themselves a win.

2 (2). Moscow Soviet Wings
Break-down: The Soviet Wings are riding high on their recent win against the
Barn Burners. Unfortunately for them, they are a Bottom Feeder and lost to
the Goliaths twice and once each to the Law Makers and Dragons. Their
Strength of Schedule was not too hard this round.

Last Report Prediction: Bottom Feeder until there are major changes in
defense.

Prediction: Same as last report. They need defense bad and will be a Bottom
Feeder until it is rectified.

3 (7). Sierra Spiders
Break-down: With the toughest Strength of Schedule in the Report, it is no
wonder that the Spiders hit the skids to the Bottom Feeders. The Sea Lions
took it to the Spiders three times in this report period and the Voodoo and
Melted Ice each got a poke in at these Bottom Feeders.

Last report Prediction: Border Clan next report. Will be a bottom feeder if
the scoring stays the same.

Prediction: I guess the scoring stayed the same. They will be Bottom Feeders
next report too.

4 (4). Milford Barn Burners
Break-down: What can be said about the first team to lose to the Mighty
Soviet Wings? Can you blame them for not wanting to give up their fourth
place status as a Bottom Feeder? Let's give credit where credit is due,
however. They did tie the Crunch who are striving to stay off this report.
Other losses were to the Melted Ice, Terriers and Pylons. Their Strength of
Schedule was so-so. I guarantee a real barn burning the next time they play
the boys from Moscow.

Last report Prediction: Too close to call. They will be in the next report
either as a Bottom Feeder or Border Clan for sure.

Prediction: Lose to the Soviets, not good enough for Clan. Bottom Feeder
next report.

5 (1). Newfoundland Black Dogs
Break-down: The Black Dogs are streaking their way from the bottom to find
themselves in 5th place this report. With wins against the Hitmen, Force and
Slash, they have almost eclipsed the Bottom Feeders into Border Clan status.
Their Strength of Schedule left something to be desired but wins are wins,
baby. Losses came at the hands of the Force and Slash.

Last report Prediction: Bottom Feeder next report. Possible Border Clan
before too long.

Prediction: Same as last report. Good possibility of Border Clan next
report. Tied with lots of teams who could easily slip down.

Border Clans:
Pos Team Name GP	W	L	T	GF GA Pts
PCT Last 10 Str
6 Quebec Knights	10	3	7	0	26	40	6
0.3	3.7.0	12.33
7 Dixie Black Voodoo	9	3	6	0	29	32	6
0.333	3.6.0	8.8
8 Halifax Force 9	3	6	0	25	41	6
0.333	3.6.0	10.2
9 Birm'ham Ice Barons	9	3	6	0	19	28	6
0.333	3.6.0	12.2
10 Cape Breton SLaSH	9	4	5	0	29	33	8
0.444	4.5.0	7.8

6 (UR). Quebec Knights
Break-down: The Quebec Knights have found their way to the Border Clans!
What would the borders be without Knights in them! The Knights had a fairly
tough Strength of Schedule where they lost to the Edge, Meatheads, Goal
Busters, Crunch, Freeze and Melted Ice. Six losses this early in the season
can put you in this position easily.

Last report Prediction: (UR [Unrated]: Possible candidate for the Border
Clans)

Prediction: Border Clans next report. Six straight losses means something
ain't quite right.

7 (6). Dixie Black Voodoo
Break-down: The Voodoo have slipped slightly into the 7th position in the
Border Clans. They had a couple of wins, one against their rivals, the
Spiders, and one against the Hitmen. Their losses came to the Pylons, Slash
and Goliaths. Strength of Schedule was low, but they did get the two wins.

Last report Prediction: Border Clan next report. They could very well pull
out for a playoff spot later in the season, however.

Prediction: Border Clan next report. They appear to be entrenched here, for
now.

8 (UR). Halifax Force
Break-down: The Halifax Force have slipped into the ranks of the Border
Clans. Their only win was against the Black Dogs, but three losses to the
Screech and one loss to the Black Dogs kept them from staying off this
report. Strength of Schedule was average.

Last report Prediction: (UR [Unrated]: Possible candidate for the Border
Clans)

Prediction: Border Clan next report. They may use the Force to escape soon,
however.

9 (8). Birmingham Ice Barons
Break-down: The Ice Barons have moved up to 9th place, looking for a hole to
escape the border. With upset wins against the Winter Hawks and Freeze,
their life on the border may be short. However, they did have three losses
including the likes of: Meatheads, Dogs and Dragons. Their Strength of
Schedule was Medium to Difficult so the two wins were big for anyone on this
report.

Last report Prediction: Border Clan next report. Some of the competition was
difficult, but with the current offensive production, you can't win too many
games.

Prediction: Border Clan next report. It will take the Ice Barons a little
while to hit .500 but they could get off this list in a few reports.

10 (5). Cape Breton SLaSH
Break-down: What a difference a report makes! I think the Slash owe me
personally for firing up their team! With an upset win against the Freeze
and grudge wins against the Black Dogs and Voodoo, they will be running from
the border soon. There were two losses against the Goal Busters and Black
Dogs. The Strength of Schedule was low but they were over .500.

Last report Prediction: Border Clan next report. They had some tight games
with decent competition. It could get worse soon, however as the competition
wasn't too stiff.

Prediction: Leaving the borders so that someone else can join the lowly
ranks next report.

Sammy the Sting-Ray Award: Black Dogs
With big wins against the Hitmen and Slash, the Black Dogs have earned the
first awarding of the coveted Sammy the Sting-Ray award. Congratulations to
the Black Dogs!

Ernie the Eel: Quebec Knights
The Knights came from no where to slide into the top Border Clan position.
Their Strength of Schedule was fairly tough but they had six games and no
points. One tie would have kept them out of contention for this award and
placed them in 9th place.

Thanks For Reading!!!
